Isle of Capri to get a $50M facelift!

The Capri Commercial centre on Via Roma will be completely redeveloped early next year! Originally developed in the sixties by former Mayor sir Bruce small, the water front centre is ready to be replaced. The development is expected to be completed by mid 2012. Simon Harvey, a developer from Sydney purchased the site in 2006 from the Small family for $20M.

The new development will consist of 31 specialty shops, including cafes, a fresh food precinct, a supermarket, fashion boutiques and beauty salons. The existing boat refueling station will go, however the marina will be redeveloped and provide mooring for ten vessels. There will be basement parking for 170 cars.
